What is NDRenew?

The University is engaged in a process to more effectively articulate and manage its compensation program.  This process is in response to feedback from the 2006 ND Voice survey.  Our current project will result in added consistency and clarity to the University’s compensation philosophy, policies, and position structure. To date, we have made significant progress on the first two phases of the project – articulating our compensation philosophy and developing related policies and procedures. Finalized compensation policies are posted on hr.nd.edu.

We have now launched the third phase of the project, ND Renew, in partnership with Mercer, a global human resources consulting organization.  ND Renew is a comprehensive review of the position structure and market competitiveness for non-faculty positions, exempt and non-exempt.  The objectives are as follows:

  • position structure:  develop consistent definitions and equitable comparisons (internally and externally) for non-faculty positions at the University
  • compensation program:  compare pay across University departments and with local employers and other prestigious universities from which the University draws talent

Updates throughout the project will be provided on this website.
